Biologico Porro De Carentan

• Porro de Carentan 2 is a plant of the Liliaceae family, originally from Persia. Semi-erect, fan-shaped foliage with a large, shower-folded flap, blue-green in colour. Stem (false stem) of medium length, thick, cylindrical with swelling at the base. Slow growth rate, winter use.

• Advice for Sowing :

Porro de Carentan 2 prefers a temperate climate with sunny exposure, but tolerates the cold. The optimum temperature for growth is between 15°C and 20°C, with a minimum of 5°C. The ideal soil has a pH of 6/7; it is of medium texture, basically clayey, deep, fertile and without stagnant water.

Protected sowing : February/March

Sowing outdoors : from April to July with a minimum temperature of 12°C.

Harvest : from September to February
